Melanin Moments, LLC, a premier paper products company that markets products designed with positive identity images to uplift and empower people of color has expanded its offerings to include apparel.
The company broke ground with its wrapping paper line, which initially featured high quality paper products with English or Spanish text, and has been in high demand since 2015. Just in time for the 2017 holiday season, Melanin Moments themed apparel is set to launch. Winter hats (beanies), sweatshirts, hoodies and long sleeve shirts are now available for purchase via the company’s website https://melaninmoments.com/shop/, on Amazon and Shalah’s Corner.
Inspired by the question of a 12-year old In Arms Reach program participant “why is there no such thing as a Black Santa?,” the CEO of In Arms Reach, Terrance Stevens, founded Melanin Moments LLC. In Arms Reach is a non-profit organization that offers free educational and social services to low income children and families in NYC. The program focuses on helping at risk youth and those whose parents are incarcerated, with mentoring programs that offer support for children to maintain consistent communication with their parents.
