How To Wrap A Present: 4 Quick Tips Your Need to Know

We’ve all been there. The holiday season is here, and you’re running around trying to find the perfect present for everyone on your list. You go to the store, check off your list, and head home, ready to wrap everything up in wonderfully wrapped packages. But you can’t get them to go right! The corners are too bulky and wonky, or they don’t match up neatly. No one wants a big mess of tape peeking out of their gifts!

Step 1: Prepare the Present

Make sure you have all the supplies you need before you start wrapping. You will need:

-Scissors

-Tape

Wrapping paper

-Ribbon or twine

How To Wrap A Present

Start by measuring the piece of wrapping paper against the gift. You will want to leave enough paper on each side to be able to fold over and tape shut. Cut the paper to size and set it aside.

Next, take your ribbon or twine and cut a length that will be long enough to go around the present and tie in a bow. Set this aside for now.

Now you are ready to start wrapping! Place the gift in the center of the wrapping paper. Bring one side of the paper up and over the gift, making sure to tuck in any loose ends. Repeat with the other side of paper until the gift is completely wrapped.

To secure the wrapping paper, use tape on both ends and in the middle, if necessary. Finally, take your ribbon or twine and wrap it around the present, tying it in a bow. Trim any excess ribbon and you are done!

Step 2: Wrap the Box

If you’re using wrapping paper, start by cutting a piece that’s about twice the size of the box. Place the box upside down on the paper and bring the edges of the paper up around it, making sure that the corners are nice and sharp.

Use tape to secure the paper in place, then turn the box right side up and fold in the flaps at the top and bottom. Again, use tape to secure the paper in place.

For a more polished look, you can use double-sided tape to attach a ribbon around the middle of the box. Start by attaching one end of the ribbon to one side of the box, then wrapping it around and attaching it to the other side. Cut off any excess ribbon and you’re all done!

Step 3: Add Ribbon

To add ribbon to your wrapped present, start by cutting a length of ribbon that is twice the width of the present. Fold the ribbon in half and insert it under the edge of the paper at the top of the present, then bring the ends up over the top of the paper and tie them in a knot. Repeat this process at the bottom of the present.

Step 4: Put on the Bow (optional)

If you’re using a bow to finish off your wrapped present, there are a few different ways you can go about it. You can either tie the bow directly onto the wrapped box, or you can attach it with a piece of string or ribbon.

If you’re attaching the bow with string or ribbon, start by tying a knot in one end of the string or ribbon. Then, make a loop with the string or ribbon and place it over the top of the wrapped box. Pull the ends of the string or ribbon through the loop to secure it in place.

To tie the bow directly onto the wrapped box, start by making a loop with one end of the ribbon. Place the loop over the top of the wrapped box and pull the ends of the ribbon through the loop to secure it in place. Then, make another loop with the other end of the ribbon and repeat the process.

Where to Get the Best Wrapping Paper

There are a few things to consider when purchasing wrapping paper. First, think about the type of paper you want. There are many different types of paper available, including tissue paper, kraft paper, and even recycled paper. You’ll also want to consider the size of the paper. Some stores sell wrapping paper in rolls, while others sell it in sheets.
