Melanin Moments is a black minority owned business formulated by a quadriplegic entrepreneur who teamed up with two health care professionals. The trio met during med school.

Stevens suffers from Muscular Dystrophy, virtually paralyzed from neck down. In 2001 upon release after being unfairly impacted by the legal injustice system he formulated a university-based charity named In Arms Reach (IAR).

Melanin Moments is designed to empower communities of color and dismantle racial diversity and exclusion of brown faces during the Christmas holiday in printed entertainment. Melanin: The pigment that gives human skin, hair, and eyes their color. Melanin is produced by cells called melanocytes.
